Reverse Polarity Installation Details
Stage 1
Tags soldered to diode and it fitted to the two output terminals. This is fitted after the two output posts have been secured with the 4mm nuts and soldered to the board and with a brass washer under the diode ring terminals - note banded end towards positive terminal. The component leads can be shorter then this.
Stage 2
Having shown the above picture with the diode fitted you now need to lift the end off the negative terminal and insert the negative output lead first such that the diode lead passes under this output lead.
Stage 3
Having first attached wires to the fuse holder and soldered these to the ring terminals provided (these wires should be as thick as the ring terminals wiil permit and as short as possible), attach one terminal as shown.
Stage 4
Attach the insulated spacer to the secure the fuse ring terminal, it may be prudent, once the add-on has been proved to work, to secure this spacer with a dab of suitable glue.
Stage 5
An alternative view of the spacer as fitted.
Stage 6
Another view.
Stage 7
The other fuse ring terminal is now attached to the top of the spacer with a brass washer fitted underneath.
Stage 8
The output terminal is then fitted over (or under it makes no real difference) the fuse terminal and then secured with another brass washer and a nut. The threaded bit is just the right length and no more.
Stage 9
Another view. Add-on complete.
