Fed up with sulphated batteries? Handy with a soldering iron (not a beginner's kit)?
This device was created by my Canadian colleague Rick who has now moved on to other things. It consumes some 330mA when operating and is well suited to golf cart or off-grid deep cycle batteries.
It was previously recommended by Don Plisco (now no longer with us?) as his 'device of choice' as per the report we have stored on our web site at Don Plisco's Report.
You will need to provide a case to mount this in and a set of output leads, please check the case kit available under the Accessories tab.
The device comes complete with integral overheat and reverse polarity protection.
Desulfators work best on conventional flooded lead acid type batteries. They will work on sealed or maintenance free types but be aware the main cause of failure of this type of battery is the electrolyte drying out and no amount of desulfating will cure this. Equally a shorted battery is a shorted battery and a desulphator won't cure this either. Please note that we draw your attention to this unlike some of competitors.
Put an end to sulfated batteries with a proven solution. Be aware some of the cheaper solutions available elsewhere may not work!!
